Amanzimtoti musos to host fundraiser for teen’s New Zealand ice hockey tour

THE Gus Brown Band will play their melodies, free of charge, at Warner Beach Ski Boat Club this Sunday, 11 March from 3pm onwards.

THE Gus Brown Band will play their melodies, free of charge, at Warner Beach Ski Boat Club this Sunday, 11 March from 3pm onwards.

This fundraiser is in aid of Jared Igesund, who has made the U18 South African ice hockey team and hopes to tour New Zealand with the team in April.

Jared’s skills will be polished through his interactions and teachings with the team and he’ll learn much more about the sport he loves. However great the opportunity may be, the tour comes at a great cost. The Gus Brown Band is hosting the fundraiser gig this Sunday, where boerie rolls will be on sale and a hat sent around to collect donations to help the local youngster make his dreams a reality.

Those interested are asked to arrive at the venue from 3pm onwards to experience the good vibes – all in the name of a great cause.

The South African ice hockey team Jared has performed well enough to earn his spot on.
