Diarise lunar calendar for Amanzimtoti sunset beach walks

Old, young and furry Toti’ites took advantage of the full moon on 30 April to walk from Baggies Beach to Winklespruit Beach and back.

The full moon walks take place on a monthly basis, usually on the last day of each month, coinciding with when the moon is at its zenith. “Entrance is free of charge and everybody is welcome to join. It is great fun and good exercise at the same time and you get the spectacular view of the rising full moon,” said Sapphire Coast Tourism chairman, Romy Wenzel.

The next full moon walk will take place on Tuesday, 29 May. Meet at Baggies Beach in Warner Beach for a 6pm start. For more information, call Yvonne Dixie on 074-190-0949.
