Voters urged to verify personal particulars

If you are in doubt of the IEC having your correct details on the voters roll, visit the IEC offices in Winklespruit.

A massive 2,442 people, who are registered in ward 97, might be excluded from the upcoming elections.

That’s the word from ward 97 councillor, Andre Beetge, who met with officials from the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) on Friday, 15 June. “These residents have no addresses recorded against their names and as a result, might be excluded from next year’s elections,” he said.

If you are in doubt of the IEC having your correct details on the voters roll, visit the IEC offices located in the temporary structures at the Sizakala centre in Gracedale Road, Winklespruit to register or update your voter information. They are open from Monday to Friday from 8am to 3.30pm.

Alternatively, visit https://www.elections.org.za/MyIEC/Account/Login to do it online.

For more information, call Cllr Beetge on 082-718-8137.
