Isipingo taxi driver pistol-whipped, robbed

The employee was assaulted with a firearm and sustained an injury to his head.

A taxi driver was pistol-whipped and robbed of about R7,000 in cash in Orient Drive, Isipingo on Tuesday evening, 30 October.

Alpha Alarms communications officer, Krishnee Naidoo said they received a message for assistance and their response units found CPF members already on the scene.

“Our members spoke to the business premises owner who reported that his employee was assaulted with a firearm and sustained an injury to his head and cash was taken,” she said.

Police responded to the scene and Alpha members searched the area but no arrests were made.
