The Clean Surf Protect team and volunteers spent their morning cleaning the stretch of Kingsway in Warner Beach alongside the railway line.

A little bit of rain wasn’t going to stop the clean-up crew when it came to cleaning up alongside the main road, Kingsway in Warner Beach and railway lines.

“Some 34 bags, cabling, empty discarded paint buckets and an old shop sign were collected by our ocean warriors,” expressed CSP member and Sapphire Coast Tourism chairman Romy Wenzel.

“Volunteers who offered a helping hand were treated to a year-end braai. A big thank you goes out to Victory Kwikspar and Bluff Meat Supply for kindly sponsoring rolls and wors. It is much appreciated.”

A year-end braai was enjoyed at Warner Beach’s subway on Saturday, 8 December.

Romy explained that CSP is taking a well deserved break from 19 December, and will be back in full swing in 2019. The last presentation will take place at Amanzimtoti Main Beach on 18 December at 10am.
