Motorcyclist injured in N2 accident
A rope rescue system was set up by fire and rescue services to haul the patient up.
A motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle on the N2 northbound before the Moss Kolnik offramp on Monday morning, 27 May.
Netcare 911 media liaison officer, Shawn Herbst said reports from the scene indicate that the motorcyclist lost control and crashed down a steep embankment at about 6.40am. “He required advanced life support intervention to stabilise him. Once stabilised, a rope rescue system was set up by fire and rescue services to haul the patient up to an awaiting ambulance which transported him to hospital.”
