Stand a chance to win set of double tickets to this weekend’s ECR House and Garden Show taking place at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 28 June to 7 July. There are 10 sets of tickets to be won.

The competition closes at noon on Thursday, 27 June 2019, winners will be contacted telephonically and must collect their tickets from the SUN offices in Doonside by COB on Friday, 28 June.

Explore the Home-Grown Design and Food Fair, which brings together local makers, creators, crafters and designers who will showcase their latest products, where you’ll also find delicious local eats and drinks from an array of food stalls and bars, as well experience live music from emerging local artists.

If it’s household technology you’re interested in, Hirsch’s will be on-hand with the latest and best appliances for you to test out. As usual, visitors can expect to find exceptional show deals there too!

For those with the itch to fix it, build it or improve it, the Builders Pavilion features more than 40 suppliers offering a range of amazing deals. While you’re there, improve your painting techniques under the guidance of the Fired Earth team, as well as learn other practical how-to techniques in the interactive workshop area.

To the foodies and budding cooks out there, your taste buds are in for a real treat as Durban Tourism brings you Discover Durban Cuisine, with top-class chefs sharing their tips and tricks to help you conquer the kitchen and impress even the most discerning pallet with your new cooking skills. If you’re more into the eating than the cooking, book your table at one of our pop-up evening restaurants for a culinary feast prepared by some of Durban’s best chefs.

At the show get ready to be inspired by some of Durban’s top interior designers, chosen by the African Institute of Interior Design Professionals, who will interpret the hottest décor trends for 2019 and show you how to bring these to life in your own home.

Design aficionados should expect the unexpected with this year’s Discover Durban Design installation, curated by renowned South African stylist, Claire Clark, in collaboration with Angela Shaw of the KZNSA Gallery. Themed Afro-Futura, the exhibition will highlight the immensely original work of Durban’s emerging and established artists and designers in a visual journey that is bold and brave. With local fashion and jewellery design featured alongside furniture, ceramics, textiles and exceptional works of art, visitors are invited to experience something completely new; that is edgy, dramatic and immersive.

Finally, in a first for the show and for South Africa, the Wanderlust Tiny Home team will reveal their ‘Tiny Home’ – a purpose-built, moveable home that promotes energy-efficient, sustainable living. These affordable and stylish down-sized homes embrace the concept of “work anywhere, live anywhere” and visitors to the show will have the opportunity to tour one of these homes before anyone else in the country.

A random winner will be drawn from all the correct entries.
Winners will be notified telephonically. If the chosen winner cannot be reached telephonically, another winner will be chosen.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
