Amanzimtoti learner tests positive for Covid-19

The school will be deep-cleaned on Sunday, 12 July, and learners will be safe to return on Monday.

A matric Amanzimtoti High School learner tested positive for Covid-19.

A release was posted on the school’s Facebook page on Saturday, 11 July.

“We would like assure you that we are following all the correct protocols to ensure the safety of all our learners and staff. The health department and department of education have been notified. The families of all the learners who had close contact with this learner have also been notified and they will self-isolate at home for the required period,” the release stated.

The school will be deep-cleaned on Sunday, 12 July, and learners will be safe to return on Monday.
