In a private function held at Lords and Legends in Amanzimtoti on Wednesday, 5 May, Pensioners Friends gathered for a goodbye session to Sharon-Ann and Errol as they are known to the community of Amanzimtoti.

With them was members of the Pensioners Friends who are part of the group that Sharon-Ann and Errol created on social media to help each other. When talking to the lovely bubbly Sharon-Ann, she said Pensioners Friends will not cease to exist. It will always be there on all social media platforms. The only difference will be that they are moving to Johannesburg, however, the group will remain the same.
“It’s just me and my husband relocating to Johannesburg, but our members can still be in touch with us. They can call and we will still have our Zoom meetings. Errol will keep everyone updated on Facebook and the books will still be distributed as we were doing before. Our sponsors will remain the same and still continue with sponsoring Pensioners Friends and all the shops and stores as well,” said Sharon-Ann.

The ward councillor of Amanzimtoti André Beetge, also bid farewell to the Toti lovebirds. Sharon-Ann thanked everyone for taking their time to come and wish them well.
“We want to thank Linda for organising such a lovely party for us, she has been with us for the longest of time and she understand us very well. We have put people in place in Amanzimtoti and surrounding who will be helping us with the book distribution,” said Errol. While Sharon-Ann and Errol will be in Johannesburg, Shannon van Rooijen will be handling the office administration and making sure that everything runs smoothly on this side of town.
