Wanderers Haven hosts winter warmth drive

The organisation also runs a charity shop to generate funds and appeals to the community to donate any items that they no longer require.

Help make a difference this winter by supporting local organisation, Wanderers Haven. A soup and blanket drive will be held on Saturday, 28 May, from 6pm to 8pm at the organisation’s premises situated at 27 Commercial Road.

“We rely on donations from the public and surrounding businesses to help us provide the assistance needed to help residents. We help those in need find employment, shelter and enter drug rehabilitation centres. Let us come together as a community and uplift our town and fellow residents. If we all do our bit, we can take back dignity one step at a time, one person at a time,” said co-founder of the organisation, Sharon Swanepoel.

The organisation also runs a charity shop to generate funds and appeals to the community to donate any items that they no longer require. Donations of peanut butter, jam, cereal, pasta, canned goods, milk, sugar, tea and noodles will be much appreciated. Funds can also be donated through the following bank details: Capitec Bank, Wanderers Haven: savings account, account number: 1468687415.
