Crow searches for Amanzimtoti monkey troop

The monkey is now at Crow and doing extremely well and they would like to reintroduce her to the troop.

The Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) is on the lookout for a troop of monkeys that was last spotted near Galleria Mall.

“We are desperately looking for a troop of monkeys in the vicinity of Galleria Mall. The troop was last seen on Arbour Road behind Galleria Mall. We have a female monkey, who we suspect, was possibly hit by a car. She was taken to Scottburgh vet where she was checked over and observed throughout the night,” said Crow director, Clint Halkett-Siddall.

The monkey is now at Crow and doing extremely well and they would like to reintroduce her to the troop.

“She is a lactating mother which means she still has a very small baby that is with the troop that needs her back with them as soon as possible.”

Crow is committed to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of orphaned and injured wildlife and believes in action and education with regards to the protection of all natural resources. Anyone who has spotted the troop, is urged to contact Crow on 031-462-1127 or the after-hours line at 5pm and 8pm on 071-065-0254.
