Basil takes the win in last weekend’s pigeon racing competition

The winning birds covered the 392km distance at an average speed of 81km/hr.

BASIL Tait from Umkomaas consolidated his lead in the young bird series, in fine style by winning first, second and fourth in the race on Saturday, July 31, from Standerton.

The winning birds arrived in Umkomaas at 13:50, covering the 392km distance at an average speed of 81km/hr.

In the federation, he finished seventh, eighth and 10th positions and now leads the federation yearling averages.

Danny Bradshaw finished third in the club and ninth in the federation.
