Roadblock kicks off Transport Month
During the roadblock, numerous motorbikes were impounded for various road transgressions such as expired licence discs and not displaying licence plates to name.

Transport Month was officially launched on Sunday, October 3 following a successful roadblock. KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Sihle Zikalala kicked off October Transport Month at a roadblock on the N2 highway near the old airport in Prospecton.
The launch of October Transport Month aims to encourage motorists to use the road with consideration and care for other road users. The Premier manned the roadblock with Transport, Community Safety and Liaison MEC Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni and eThekwini Metro Municipality Executive Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda.
