Man arrested for not paying for fuel

SAPS were notified by the security company after the suspect's car was identified.

A man was arrested on Wednesday, October 20 after he allegedly sped off without paying for petrol at a Doonside garage four days prior.

E.T. Rapid Response said information was received regarding the location of the vehicle and it was placed under observation.

“Once our TRT arrived on scene, the vehicle was boxed in, and members liased with Amanzimtoti SAPS detectives who then requested that the driver must be taken to Amanzimtoti SAPS for further questioning,” read a statement from E.T.

Upon arrival at Amanzimtoti SAPS, the suspect was positively identified by the garage staff and was arrested and charged accordingly.
