UPDATE – Missing man found in serious condition

The man was reported missing on Sunday, October 24.

PARAMEDICS were called to a sugar cane plantation in Illovo where a man, believed to be Werner de Jager, was found earlier today.

Members of ET Rapid Response were called to the plantation after a farmer discovered a vehicle on his farm.

“Further investigation by security officers found a man seated in the vehicle in a serious condition. Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene and stabilised him before he was airlifted, with the assistance of the Netcare911 aero-medical helicopter, to a nearby specialist facility,” said Kyle van Reenen of Emer-G-Med.

The details surrounding the case will be investigated.
