Residents ready to make their votes count
Athlone Park residents are eager to cast their votes.
Residents are out and about early this morning (November 1) to cast their votes for the local government elections. Registered voters spoke to the SUN to give insight on why its import to make their votes count.
Micheal Campbell, Athlone Park residents said, “We have to use the opportunity to vote. It is our civic duty and responsibility to make sure your beliefs are represented in government. If you vote you therefore have a right to be critical.”
Meanwhile, mother and son, Mikhail and Haseena Govender hope that voting in the local government elections will give them better service delivery .
“We need to use the our right to vote to make a difference,” they said.
