Master anglers bag Springbok colours
It took the team two days to drive there in two angling members’ vehicles.
THIS year, the KZN Grand Masters team of six anglers travelled to Velddrif at St Helena Bay for a week, to compete in the annual KZN Grand Masters’ Rock and Surf angling competition.
“The fishing conditions on the first and third days were extremely difficult, but the second day was good. The main goal of the week is to enjoy competing against the other South African teams and to hopefully win a place in the prestigious Springbok team of six for the following year.”
“The scores from the club and national competitions for the last three years are added to work out the places in the South African team,” said Lynn Schroder.
