
ETHEKWINI Municipality warns residents in parts Amanzimtoti and surrounding areas of the possible water interruption.
“The interruption is due to uMngeni Water that will be replacing the three existing butterfly valves within the Lewis Drive Chamber at Amanzimtoti Water Work on Wednesday, November 17,” states a press release from the municipality.
The following areas may experience water shortages during the maintenance process: Doonside, Lewis Drive and Almond Road in Ward 97 and ward 93, Athlone Park. Smithfield/ Lovu in ward 109 and KwaMakhutha in ward 94. Adams Mission in ward 67 and 96 and D1060 in ward 105.

“Water tankers will be on standby to respond to affected areas. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause and requests residents to use water sparingly.”
