End of season for Amanzimtoti pigeon racers

There was a great atmosphere at the prize giving and all the fanciers were very excited to receive their prizes.

THE curtain came down for the end of the racing season, with the federation annual prize giving held on Saturday, November 13, at the Durban Racing Pigeon Club (DRPC) club house on Tara Road on the Bluff.

Amanzimtoti Racing Pigeon Club featured well with chairman, Doug Fry, being crowned as the 2021 federation champion.

Doug’s achievements:

• First in the grand averages.

• Second in the all bird averages.

• Second in the yearling averages.

• First in the under 500km averages.

• Forth in the over 500km averages.

Fellow Toti member that also achieved top honours was Basil Tait.

Basil’s achievements:

• First in the all bird averages.

• First in the yearling averages.

• Third in the grand averages.

• Second in the under 500km averages.

• Third in the over 500km averages.

• Best yearling performance.
