Cash-in-transit robbery in Isipingo

The incident happened in the morning, and shots were fired.

THERE was chaos in Isipingo Rail this morning (January 22) after shots were fired during a cash-in-transit robbery.
PT Alarms spokesperson Dhevan Govindasamy said the incident unfolded at Thomas Lane where an unknown number of suspects brandishing high-calibre firearms executed the robbery.
“An undisclosed amount of cash is alleged to have been taken. While shots were fired, no injuries have been reported at this point,” said Govindasamy.
At the time of publication, the crime scene was still active and was being processed by the police.
