Do ‘more’ in 2024 by volunteering at Toti Hospice Shop

Volunteer at one of Khanya Hospice's three charity shops to help them sustain the free nursing care that they offer.

KHANYA Hospice wishes all its supporters a wonderful 2024 and encourages more individuals to do ‘more’ by volunteering at its Toti Hospice Shop.

The hospice’s CEO, Neil McDonald, said 2024 is a year of more: “More reaching out to the needy, more being grateful for what we have, more content and happy,” he said.

McDonald said that when a person is healthy, they can do more things for themselves. “We need more understanding of other people and their circumstances, more tolerance and best of all, more focus on healthy living,” he said.

In an effort to sustain the free nursing care that hospice offers to people with life-threatening diseases, as well as support to their families, McDonald encourages people to volunteer at one of their three charity shops.

“If you have some time on your hands and would like to help out, contact us. Our shops are located in Amanzimtoti, Pennington and Scottburgh. We are also looking for donations of any kind: furniture, clothes, bric-a-brac, cutlery and crockery, wool and whatever you have to give away,” he said.

For more information, contact Neil McDonald on 083 597 8985. Donations can be dropped off at their Toti Hospice Shop at 400 Andrew Zondo Road, above Two Vikings Fish and Chips.
