Ward 90 councillor Shad Nowbuth said a culvert is being constructed, and the process is scheduled to last a few months. It is being done to divert the present water drainage system and prevent flooding of the adjacent area.

A section of Phila Ndwandwe Road has been dug up.

“Concrete bollards have been placed on the stretch of road to alter traffic flow to allow for the use of heavy machinery on the road reserve,” said Nowbuth.

He asked for patience and tolerance from all road users.
