PT Alarms spokesperson Devhan Govindasamy said the information had been received about drug dealing in Folweni by a group that allegedly claimed they were untouchable and no one could stop them from selling drugs.
“A registered source, together with the police crime intelligence unit, the metro police drug team, and other role-players, worked tirelessly on the information received to locate the infamous crew of drug dealers. After an operation was planned and carried out in the morning, a target was identified,” said Govindasamy.
The first alleged dealer was successfully arrested after he was scoped and cornered, and when he was searched, drugs were found in his possession.
“The exhibits were 24 red-and-white capsules of heroin and five brown mandrax tablets which were seized and booked into Folweni Police Station,” he said.

In the second arrest, which followed the same tactic, and upon searching, crystal meth and Xanax tablets were found on him. He could not provide a prescription for the pills. The men appeared in court on June 10 and were remanded into custody pending bail application and more investigations.
