Man arrested in Folweni for gun and dagga possession

Another man was arrested in the area recently for manufacturing guns at his home.

ON MAY 11, a man was arrested in Pholas Reserve in Folweni for possession of guns, ammunition and dagga.
Metro police arrested the suspect, who will not be named until he appears in court, after a tip-off.

Metro police spokesperson, Senior Superintendant Boysie Zungu, said the accused was found in possession of a homemade shotgun, a pistol, ammunition, and a large quantity of dagga. In April, another man was arrested in the area for illegally manufacturing guns.

“The suspect was processed at the Folweni police station and will appear in court soon,” said Zungu.
