AMANZIMTOTI model Jan Strydom competed at the virtual national round of Talent Africa Nationals 2024 where he was representing KwaZulu-Natal and walked away with three awards on October 8.

He received a platinum ranking for modelling in the formal category, a gold ranking in casual modelling and a gold in swimwear. Strydom also recently received his Provincial Colours from the Federation of Performing Arts South Africa (FPASA). He also received FPASA Colours in performing arts in 2016, 2017 and 2019. He said he will be representing South Africa next year at a competition called Stars of the Universe. Other countries that will be represented at the event include Italy, France and Spain.

The experienced Strydom said he had previously qualified to strut his stuff at Talent America in 2016, 2017 and 2019. He also competed at the Euro Dance Fest in 2018 and qualified to compete in Serbia.

“I am very thrilled to have made it this far since I have taken a long break from the industry. I just want to thank my friends and family for their support and Cornelius van der Merwe who took my photographs and who filmed my videos for the competition,” he said.
