Devline, (18), is the reigning Mr Alberton 2023 and is hoping to use the platform given to him by the upcoming pageant to help the less fortunate. He started modelling in 2023 and said he enjoys strutting his stuff on runways while making other people’s lives better through community projects.
As he takes immense pride in his community, Devline is appealing to the community to donate cat food which will be handed over to the KZN Feral Cat Project. The pageant will also raise funds for a young Chatsworth girl who is battling cancer.
“I’ve always wanted to be a successful model growing up and it is my passion. The Mr Alberton pageant made the start of my modelling career a bit easier,” said Devline.
His interests include spending time with his relatives, photoshoots, and going to the beach. He hopes to open his own modelling agency one day to help the younger generation gain confidence, good posture, and charisma.
Model of KZN 2024 takes place at Woodlands Pre-Primary School on August 3. To inquire about donating towards the KZN Feral Cat Project email, devlinevanrooyen21@gmail.com or send a WhatsApp message on 071 875 2695.
