President Ramaphosa inspects Ezimbokodweni River bridge [Video]

Watch as the president and the minister of transport are briefed on the damage to the partially collapsed N2 bridge by SANRAL engineers.

PRESIDENT Cyril Ramaphosa visited the damaged Ezimbokodweni River bridge on the N2 before heading to Umgababa for the presidential imbizo on November 8.

He was joined by Department of Transport minister Barbara Creecy, her deputy Mkhuleko Hlengwa, and South African National Roads Agency CEO Reginald Demane. Creecy said a temporary solution would be in place by the end of November to allow traffic to flow in both directions. She added that steel pieces would be installed underneath the bridge in February next year to strengthen it.
