WATCH: Man critical after falling through a roof in Winklespruit

The man sustained serious injuries and is expected to be airlifted to the Ahmed Al-Kadi hospital to receive medical treatment.

A MAN, believed to be in his 40s, is in a critical condition after he fell through the roof of a two-storey high building at one of the local shopping centres in the Winklespruit.

According to Garrit Jameson, spokesperson from ALS Paramedics, it is believed that the man was working on the roof when he fell through it. He came to rest about two storeys down.

“The man sustained critical injuries and has been stabilised on the scene. We are currently waiting for a helicopter to transport him to the Ahmed Al-Kadi Hospital in Mayville for further care and medical treatment,” Jameson said.
