Paramedics treat, transport man with head injury at fire station

Paramedics placed him on a ventilator and stabilised him before taking him to hospital

A man with life-threatening head injuries was taken to Amanzimtoti fire department on Saturday night.

Paramedics were called by the fire officials, after the man was reportedly hit by a car and driven to the fire station by bystanders.

Two Netcare 911 paramedics and the ambulance crew responded to the fire station and found the man to have sustained life-threatening injuries. He was placed on a ventilator and stabilised before he was transported to hospital.
