Amanzimtoti to host public consultation on Liquor Licensing Bill
Liquor traders, industry representatives, and members of the public are invited to participate at the liquor licensing public consultation.
THE KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) will hold a stakeholder engagement session in Amanzimtoti regarding the Draft KZN Liquor Licensing Amendment Bill. The meeting is scheduled for November 26 at the Amanzimtoti Civic Centre.

Reverend Musa Zondi, MEC for EDTEA, has invited liquor traders, industry representatives and members of the public to participate. The session aims to gather feedback on the Amendment Bill, with attendees encouraged to submit their comments either verbally or in writing.
Written submissions can be sent via email to KZNLiquorBill@kznedtea.gov.za, or placed in submission boxes at the EDTEA head office in Pietermaritzburg (270 Jabu Ndlovu Street) or the KZN Economic Regulatory Authority in Durban (22 Dorothy Nyembe Street).
The draft bill is accessible online at www.kznedtea.gov.za, www.kznera.org.za, and www.kznlqa.co.za. All submissions must be received by February 28, 2025.
