The event included a 12.6km surfski, a 12.6km long beach run from Winklespruit to Amanzimtoti and back and a 4.8km short course run/walk from Winklespruit to Warnerdoone and back. The overcast but warm weather provided perfect conditions for the full field of runners who took on the sand and waves.

The Winklespruit Surf Lifesaving Club was impressed with the turnout, congratulating everyone who took part, and the families who attended the accompanying Christmas market.
