The non-profit organisation (NPO) has three charity shops where it sells items to raise funds to offer free nursing care to people with life-threatening diseases. The NPO’s Amanzimtoti charity shop manager, Ronel van Reenen, said volunteers can work at their own time: a morning, afternoon or whole day.

“You can arrange for a time that suits you with the shop manager,” said Van Reenen.

The other shops are in Pennington and Scottburgh.

Community members are also encouraged to donate new or second-hand clothes, bric-a-brac, furniture, cutlery, crockery and so forth.
Donations can be dropped off at their Amanzimtoti Hospice Shop at 400 Andrew Zondo Road, above Two Vikings Fish and Chips. Collection of the items can also be arranged.

For more information, to volunteer or to donate, contact Van Reenen on 069 445 6283 or at hospice@khanyahospice.co.za.
