Taxi transporting learners involved in accident in Umbumbulu

It is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle after which it left the road and went into the bushes.

A MINIBUS taxi carrying 19 learners from different schools was involved in an accident in Umbumbulu this morning (February 5).

According to Trauma911 Emergency Services, the vehicle left the road and went into the bushes after its driver lost control. A minibus taxi is generally certified to carry a maximum of 15 passengers.

The injured children were stabilised at the scene before they were taken to various hospitals for further treatment.
