Check the SASSA payment dates for December

If you have not received payment within two to three business days of your expected date, call 0800 60 10 11 or visit the nearest SASSA office.

THE South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed that it will start paying grant payments to beneficiaries from December 2.

These grants are available for the unemployed, disabled, foster parents, old age persons, and legal guardians of children who cannot afford basic living needs.

Dates:
• Older age grant – December 2
• Disability grant – December 3
• Child and other grants – December 4

In October, SASSA announced a R10 increase to all grant payments, bringing the amounts to:

• Old age (60 to 74 years) and disability – R2 315
• Old Age (75 and over) – R2 335
• War veterans – R2 315
• Care Dependency – R2 315
• Foster care – R1 250
• Child Support – R560
• Social relief of distress – R370.
