Search for missing man with mental health issues

Anrique Ricardo Govender was last seen at about 22:00 on Wednesday, December 24 December in Cassia Crescent, Shakaskraal.

A 23-year-old man has been reported missing and may be in the Amanzimtoti area.
Anrique Ricardo Govender was last seen at about 22:00 on Wednesday, December 24 December in Cassia Crescent, Shakaskraal.
Police and emergency services are appealing to the public, particularly residents of Amanzimtoti and surrounding areas, to be on the lookout for him.
According to the family, Govender left home following an argument with his father and has not made contact since. Information received suggests he may possibly have travelled to Amanzimtoti  where he is known to have friends.
Govender is described as about 1.9 metres tall, with brown eyes and braided hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black vest and brown boots.
Medical professionals have documented that Govender has a serious mental health condition, including major depressive disorder with psychotic features, and he requires urgent medical supervision. His condition may affect his judgment and orientation, leaving him vulnerable.
