Almond Road reservoir work still in progress

Areas affected include Warner Beach, Kingsburgh, Winklespruit, Illovo Beach, Lower Illovo, Panorama Park, and Umgababa.

WARD 97 councillor André Beetge has announced that work being done at the Almond Road reservoir has taken longer than expected, with technicians expected to finish at 10:00 today (October 8). As a result, water supply to all areas supplied from the reservoir remains restricted.

Beetge said the delay was due to the sewage system taking longer to drain than anticipated. At daybreak today, work was still in progress on fitting and welding the last sections of piping.

Areas affected include Warner Beach, Kingsburgh, Winklespruit, Illovo Beach, Lower Illovo, Panorama Park, and Umgababa.
