Toti Lions make much-needed donation

The donated funds are part of the revenue made during the Highland Gathering earlier this year.

The Lions Club of Amanzimtoti made sure that Christmas arrived early at the Jona Vaughn Home for the Handicapped when they delivered a donation recently.

The club’s public relations officer, Lion André Beetge, said the R5 000 that was given to the home was part of the proceeds from the Highland Gathering which was held earlier this year to raise funds for local charities.

“When Lion Ken Toward arrived on the front steps of the home with the donation, senior supervisor Greta Hlongwa could not stop smiling as the much-needed funding comes at a time when the home is once again severely burdened by a lack of funding,” said André.
