Power outage affects Amanzimtoti and Winklespruit

Certain areas have been without power since the evening of November 3.

Two incidents of power outages have affected Amanzimtoti central and Winklespruit since Friday morning, November 4.

Ward 97 councillor André Beetge said that on the evening of November 3, a mini substation in Winklespruit caught fire and the power went off. “The depot will be attending to replace that substation,” said Beetge.

In Amanzimtoti, the outage is affecting the area from Bhengu Road across the valley towards School and Seadoone Roads.

“Switching staff have been dispatched to investigate,” he said.
