WATCH: Shot hijacker flees at Warner Beach

An injured hijacker crawls to the getaway car after a bystander shoots him.

On Saturday, December 3 at around 16:00, one hijacker was shot but managed to flee with his accomplices after crashing a Toyota Fortuner SUV they had taken at gunpoint in Warner Beach. The incident happened at the Kingsway and Nelson Palmer roads intersection.

As the hijackers reversed the SUV they had taken, a bystander shot at them, and in the ensuing shootout, which lasted less than a minute, one hijacker was shot. He can be seen crawling into the getaway car and his accomplices help him in.
