PHOTOS: Toti Golf Club raises funds for repairs
The day helped raise much-needed funds towards the recovery process of the golf course following the floods in April last year.
THE Amanzimtoti Golf Club raised a whopping R44 000 at their fundraising golf day on January 27, with Durban South Toyota being the anchor sponsor.
The organisers, Jason Moriarty and Dave Finch, were the driving force behind the event. They organised sponsorship in an effort to raise funds towards the continuous recovery process of the golf course following the floods in April last year.

The club’s Lencé Gebhardt said that although Durban South Toyota was the anchor sponsor, a number of other branches of Toyota and other businesses also got involved as sponsors for the day.
The game format for the day was a 4-ball alliance, 2 to count. “The day went off exceptionally well. The weather was pleasant, and the festivities were well-received by everyone. They enjoyed their golf, snacks, prize-giving and the Windhoek Golf simulation activation, despite the few hiccups that may have been encountered throughout the day,” said Lencé.
“The club has come a long way since the devastation that was left behind by the floods, however, it is still an ongoing process, and we are very grateful to have such loyal support from our community and sponsors,” she said.
