Beware of spillage on N2 Amanzimtoti

The oil/substance spill between Winklespruit and Doon Heights is worsened by the rain, causing the road to be slippery and dangerous for motorists.

MOTORISTS are urged to exercise caution between Winklespruit and Doon Heights as an oil/substance spill has created hazardous driving conditions today (September 9).

Paramedics are already at the scene of a motor vehicle accident by the Seadoone off-ramp after a vehicle veered off the road.

The situation is worsened by the rain, making the roads slippery and dangerous for motorists.

In a Facebook post by Ward 97 councillor André Beetge, at 15:00, he said the oil/substance spill stretches along the N2 northbound from the Winklespruit on-ramp to the Seadoone off-ramp and continues left onto Seadoone Road, Thomas Holstead Street and Nathaniel Isaacs Road.

“Please be cautious, drive slower and keep safe following distances,” he said.
