[Video] Power substation ablaze in Isipingo

The fire caused an extensive power outage that affected many residents in Isipingo Rail and Isipingo Hills.

A SUBSTATION caught fire in Isipingo on November 20, resulting in a power outage that affected many customers in Isipingo Rail and Isipingo Hills. The fire department and eThekwini Municipality’s electricity department were informed and the fire was extinguished. Work to restore the electricity continues.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established.

To log a new fault or power outage or to follow up on an existing fault, use eThekwini’s WhatsApp line which is 076 791 2449. New faults may also be logged via the city’s mobile app.
