July 5:
The Poinsettia Park Retirement Centre is holding its annual fete at 619 Kingsway Road, Athlone Park from 08:30 to noon. There will be a variety of stalls to browse, from books, crockery, cakes, and frames to plants, puzzles, toys and more. Sit down and have something delicious to eat at the tea garden while being entertained.
July 7:
The next Cottage Patch Quilters meeting will be held in the hall at The Church of the Good Shepherd. Members meet every first Monday of the month.
Upcoming dates are August 4, September 1, October 6 and November 3. Visitors are welcome to join for R10, which includes tea. Membership is R100 annually. Contact Adri on 084 580 9996 or Hazel on 084 305 3481 for further information.
July 12:
Residents of the Impala Park Retirement Village are hosting a morning market in their hall at 1a Mtomba Crescent (off Almond Road) from 09:00 to 12:00. Enjoy a variety of delicious food such as boerewors rolls, pancakes, koeksisters and more in a relaxing tea garden. Food stalls are cash only. There will also be a variety of stalls such as clothing, jewellery, needlework and knitting, braai wood and so on to browse. A white elephant table will feature books, painting, puzzles, frames and other second-hand items.
July 14:
The next meeting for members of the South African Association of Retired Person`s will be held at Amanzimtoti Bowling Club at 09:30 for 10:00. Membership is open to all people over 50 who would like to meet people and visit places of interest together with them. Contact Megan Oschmann on 082 555 1420 for further information.

Amanzimtoti Country Club and Conservancy invites you to book a complimentary hour-long guided eco tour any day of the week. The time is your choice. School groups are welcome. Contact Bruce Munro on 076 521 5102 for bookings.
Every Tuesday
FREE weekly Sahaja yoga meditation classes on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 at the Galleria Mall municipal library. The library is on the ground floor near Woolworths. For more information, call Kogie Pillay on 083 245 0382 or 083 384 9011.
Every Saturday
Amanzimtoti Tennis Club holds a free tennis development clinic for children aged seven to 17 from 08:00 until 09:00 during the school term. Racquets and balls are provided. Wear takkies. Whether they are a beginner or looking to take their game to the next level, sessions are designed to help develop technique, boost confidence and enjoy the sport. Every Saturday and Sunday
The Illovo Nursery Craft and Fresh Produce Market takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 15:00. The market is situated inside Illovo Nursery at 40 Elizabeth Avenue, Illovo Beach. For more information, contact 031 916 2491.
Sundays
Amanzimtoti Country Club and Conservancy has a 4km guided eco walk on Sundays at 08:00. A picnic stop is made halfway in the Mbokodweni Riverine Forest. There is no charge for participation.
