In the SUN 13 years ago: Chris and Belinda Stange complete tough race

At the time, it was Chris's fifth consecutive run and Belinda's fourth.

THE current Lions Club of Amanzimtoti president, Chris Stange, and his wife Belinda, ran and completed South Africa’s oldest and one of the world’s toughest races, the Harrismith Mountain Race in 2012.

As members of the Amanzimtoti Athletic Club, the couple ran the 15km route, which sees runners ascend and descend more than 600m within 5km to the summit of the Platberg at 2.377m.

At the time, it was Chris’s fifth consecutive run and Belinda’s fourth.
