The project’s driving force, NPO Tidy Towns Amanzimtoti, got together with Amanzimtoti High School, and Sapphire Coast Tourism along with several other entities and community groups.
Romy Wenzel, of Sapphire Coast Tourism, said that the project shows what can be accomplished in rejuvenating and refreshing Amanzimtoti when community organisations and groups work side by side.
Last week, Tidy Towns sponsored refreshments and snacks to ensure the learners were energised and hydrated as they got busy on their artwork.
The project is expected to continue until the end of February and possibly into the beginning of March as the intrepid artists push to realise their shared vision.
Any donations towards refreshments and/or snacks will be appreciated to keep students motivated for the community work. For more information on how to support the project and the artists, contact Romy Wenzel on 083 733 6468.
