Amanzimtoti Women’s Institute holds AGM and prize-giving

At the annual general meeting, the Amanzimtoti Women's Institute also awarded its members who did well.

THE Amanzimtoti Women’s Institute held its AGM and presented annual awards at the Amanzimtoti Golf Club on March 10.

Belinda Thole was re-elected as president, and Alicia Kelner was re-elected as secretary. Petro Earle will remain as treasurer until she relocates later this year.

After the AGM, the awards were presented, and Rene Matthews received awards for adult education, Aggie Cup, craft, handicraft, floral, and open. Alicia received the award for cookery. Worthy runners-up in the various categories were Dennii Dorning, Kelner and Thole.

The award for highest points went to Matthews, with Kelner the runner-up. The President’s Cup was awarded to Earle for her dedication to the Women’s Institute. The Friendship Tray, voted for by the members, was awarded to Engela van der Bank.

The Amanzimtoti Women’s Institute meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the Amanzimtoti Golf Club at 09:00. For further information, contact Belinda on 082 466 0550.
