Rabies campaign to conclude in Winklespruit

There is still one more vaccination date available for those who missed the previous ones.

GREATER Amanzimtoti pet owners have come out in numbers to have their dogs vaccinated for rabies in a joint campaign by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and eThekwini Municipality’s Environmental Health Directorate, South 1 Region.

The campaign started on April 7 and will conclude on April 10. Areas covered during the previous dates were Athlone Park, Amanzimtoti, Doonside, and Warner Beach.

Rabies is a deadly, but preventable disease, and vaccinating pets plays a critical role in protecting both animals and community members. Residents are encouraged to visit the vaccination sites and safeguard their pets.

Winklespruit, Pick n Pay parking lot

• 11:00 – 13:00
Illovo Sugar Mill, parking area of the supermarket
