According to its organisers, the protest is to show their unhappiness about the hiring of foreign national truck drivers by freight companies in the area.
Heavy traffic congestion and possible road blockages are expected near the old airport area and surrounding freight routes, including the N2 and R102.
Truck drivers and transport operators are advised to stay vigilant, maintain contact with dispatchers, and monitor live traffic updates throughout the day.
All other road users are also advised to exercise caution and to consider taking alternative routes where possible.
