Planting seeds of hope for the elderly in Malagazi
This Women's Month at Seed of Hope, a non-profit organisation based in Malagazi, gogos in the area were treated to a day of pampering.
IT WAS a Women’s Month celebration of note at NPO Seed of Hope when 28 gogos enjoyed a day of pampering as part of an elderly empowerment programme on August 19.

The elderly women relished what was, for many of them, a first-time pampering experience, including a foot spa and massage, pedicures, paired thoughtfully with a delicious assortment of afternoon tea refreshments.
Heather Liebenberg, of Seed of Hope, said that the day was a great success thanks to the volunteers and staff who demonstrated their love by serving the elderly women.
She extended thanks to Food Lovers’ Market head office for sponsoring the event with vouchers that enabled the NPO to provide sandwiches, savoury finger foods, scones and various sweet treats.
”The women were incredibly grateful, with some remarking that they had never had the opportunity to enjoy foot massages before and they loved it,” said Liebenberg.
