Headed by Romy Wenzel, the AGM reaffirmed the importance of supporting community tourism by participating in events, trade and consumer shows, workshops and other industry initiatives.

Wenzel outlined that the NPO pours its efforts into promoting tourism across the Sapphire Coast, which stretches from Athlone Park all the way to Umkomaas. She added that through upkeep and beautification projects, clean-ups, partnering with the biggest local events and connecting tourists with accommodation, dining, activities and more, the NPO hopes to overcome challenges facing the industry and push the Sapphire Coast as a tourist hotspot.

Wenzel encourages tourism products that have not yet joined to become part of the NPO.

“Together, we can achieve more by building a connected tourism network with a positive outlook,” said Wenzel.
